“I am really excited and grateful to be chosen by the judges for the Emerging Talent Award, and incredibly pleased that my work will be shown and printed by the AOP. As a photographer still in the early part of my career, this award represents an amazing opportunity not just for recognition, but to further develop my practice. I am confident that this award will lead to new opportunities and am excited to see what my next steps will now be. My thanks to the jurors, and my congratulations to all other winning artists!”
Bethany Crutchfield is a passionate still life photographer based in east London. After graduating from Falmouth University in 2014, she spent a number of years assisting a broad range of established photographers, alongside exploring the industry and developing her craft. More recently, she has grown her own portfolio via both commissioned works and test shoots, through which she has discovered her personal style. Graphic, colourful and considered; creating narratives through light, gradient and texture, her practice is now dedicated to elevating the unremarkable – transforming everyday objects into things of beauty.
